Terms of Service
August 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Sablate, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the software.
2. License Grant
Free Tier
The Free tier of Sablate is provided for personal and commercial use with the limits described on our website — including a maximum video length, a monthly cap on transcription jobs, a restricted set of speech models, one offline translation layer, and .srt export carrying a small Sablate credit line.
Pro
Upon purchasing a Pro license, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Sablate Pro on one device at a time. The license is perpetual and includes every future update to the Pro tier at no additional cost. It does not automatically include separately sold future editions or tiers of the product.
3. License Restrictions
You may not:
- Share, sell, or distribute your license key
- Use the software for illegal purposes
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices
4. Your Content and Third-Party Services
You keep all rights to the media you process with Sablate. Sablate does not fetch media from the internet — you supply a video file that is already on your device. You are responsible for having the right to transcribe, translate and republish any material you put through the app.
Cloud transcription and translation providers are optional and use your own API key. Your use of those services is governed by that provider's terms and billed by them directly. We are not responsible for their output, availability, pricing, or how they handle the data you send them.
5. Refund Policy
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for Pro licenses. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, contact us within 30 days for a full refund.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
Sablate is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Automatic transcription and machine translation are inherently imperfect; we do not guarantee the accuracy of any generated subtitle or translation, and we do not guarantee that the software will be error-free or uninterrupted.
7. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Sablate be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our software.
8. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the software after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
